To begin the process of hanging a photography show, make sure you have walls that are capable of hanging photos. Also, bring in the supplies you are going to need for the project (in this case, the cart in the lower left) and of course a trash can!

Remove the nails and hanging materials used from the previous show and fill in the holes with some puddy.

Then prepare the correct paint color and find a nice small roller brush to paint over the holes and the sticky stuff from the labels from the previous show!

Paint! Almost a dry paint, yet enough to cover.

Let dry and Voila!! Brand new walls!

When finished painting, clean your materials in a sink that can compensate for paint going down the drain.

Then prepare the images that you will be hanging on the walls- i.e. bring them into the gallery space and unwrap them.

Place them throughout the gallery and then meticulously arrange them in a suitable viewing order that is easy on the eyes.

Hang the show (meaning measure every little detail and spec to be perfectly at eye level- 59 inches plus whatever the distance from the top of the frame is to the wire). This will take the longest out of any of the steps.

When finished hanging the show, clean and dust the frames.

Put up the title of the show, level and without screwing up the vinyl lettering.

Adjust the lighting to highlight the pieces.

And Voila! a perfectly hung show!! :)
Time frame for all of these steps: about 8 hours!
